Digital International Shoemakers Conference 2022

We're excited to be organising and hosting the second digital conference for independent shoemakers across the globe. 

Building on the wonderful event founded by Bill, Phil and Tony nearly 25 years ago, the Digital Independent Shoemakers Conference was founded this year and brings together a wide community of makers together, from as far afield as Alaska and Australia. 

Schedule

We started putting the programme together over the summer and have already filmed and received some exciting contributions coming from Spain, Germany, France, the USA, the UK and Australia.

In the coming months we'll be filming more content and reaching out to more contributors to bring you an exciting programme of films, interviews and discussions in May 2022.

This will include highlights from the UK conference (if you can't make it over to the UK in February) and highlights from the Super Trunk Show also in May.

We've created a dedicated conference website here and have started to populate it. 

We'd like to thank all of the speakers from the first conference this year for generously agreeing to their films being included in the Shoeflix Library. This is a pay-per-view resource for anyone to access films and interviews from past conferences. 

We are also delighted to have started to populate the Philosophers Revolutionaries & Anarchists Library of interviews with key figures in the independent shoemaking world.
